I have just returned from a meeting in Wangara with Allan, the owner of a food wholesale business. Allan supplies goods, sends the invoice to the client and then hopes to get paid. He has had to resort to Debt Collection in the past as people don't always pay their accounts. I explained to him that Debt Collection on its own is bluff. There need to be consequences in place for clients who do not pay their accounts on time. Terms of Trade contain those consequences that motivate the client to put your account at the top of their pile of accounts. “The squeaky wheel gets the oilâ€.
